Haryana is a state with 22 districts in the northern region of India and is the seventeenth most popular state in the country. The state is bordered by Punjab and Himachal Pradesh in the north and Rajasthan in the west and south. The Yamuna River defines its eastern boundary with Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh. Haryana also surrounds Delhi on three sides, forming the northern, western and southern boundaries of Delhi. As a result, a large area of Haryana is included in the National Capital Region.
