The Board of Secondary Education Odisha conducts the Odisha Teachers Eligibility Test. The Odisha TET or the OTET is given by those candidates who wish for a teaching job in the state Government Schools. The Odisha TET is a certification exam. The Odisha TET consists of two papers i.e. Paper I and Paper II. The candidates who wish to be a teacher for Class I to V must appear for Paper I and those who wish to teach Class VI to VIII must appear for Paper II.
The candidates can apply for various teaching jobs across state Government schools through the Odisha TET certificate. The Odisha TET certificate is valid for a period of a lifetime.
There shall be no negative marking for wrong answers. The Paper-I exam syllabus of the Odisha TET contains Child development and Pedagogy, Language Paper, Mathematics and Environment Studies. To fill the application form for the Odisha Teachers Eligibility Test, the candidates have to pay a requisite application fee which has been set up by the exam conducting authority.
