Varanasi will become the country's first begging-free city.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's parliamentary constituency Varanasi will become the first begging-free city in the country.
The city's Beggars Corporation is taking initiative to free the city from beggars.
For this he has appealed that a reward of one thousand rupees will be given for bringing a beggar to the institution.
The aim of the Beggars Corporation organization is to rid Varanasi of begging by March 2027.
A 100-day citizen awareness campaign has been started to create a beggar-free city.
It appeals to people not to donate to beggars but send them to corporations to work and earn with dignity.
According to a survey, there are about six thousand beggars in Banaras, out of which 1400 are children.
Whereas physically able beggars aged between 18 to 40 years living with family or children are also here.
By giving training to all of them for 3 months, apart from preparing cotton bags and other things, a campaign to start a shop for puja material and flowers will be started in a year.
