  • The Guru Ghasidas National Park and Tamor Pingla Wildlife Sanctuary have been designated as a Tiger Reserve. This is also the fourth Tiger Reserve in Chhattisgarh.
  • The new Chhattisgarh Tiger Reserve is located in the state's northern region, bordering Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh.
  • The new Tiger Reserve in Chhattisgarh's constituent units, Guru Ghasidas National Park and Tamor Pingla Wildlife Sanctuary, cover 1, 44,000 hectares and 60,850 hectares, respectively.
