  • The Prime Minister took off in this aircraft from Bengaluru Air Force Airport.
  • Currently, the Indian Air Force operates two squadrons of Tejas aircraft – 'Flying Daggers' and 'Flying Bullets'.
  • Tejas was earlier known as LCA.
  • In the year 2003, the then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee had named LCA as 'Tejas'.
