  • Ganga Utsav was organized in New Delhi in November, 2023.
  • This was the seventh edition of Ganga Utsav.
  • This festival was organized by National Mission for Clean Ganga.
  • Ashok Kumar, Director General of National Mission for Clean Ganga, inaugurated the festival.
  • Ganga Pustak Parikrama was started in this festival.
  • This parikrama will run from November 7, 2023 to January 11, 2024.
  • This parikrama will pass through cities like Uttarkashi, Rishikesh, Haridwar, Bijnor, Meerut, Aligarh, Farrukhabad, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Mirzapur, Varanasi, Chhapra, Patna, Begusarai, Sultanganj, Bhagalpur, Sahibganj, Baharampur, Kolkata and Haldia etc.
  • The celebrations of Ganga Utsav 2023 also saw the release of the 33rd edition of Namami Gange magazine.
  • In the year 2008, Ganga was declared the national river of India.
  • National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) was established in the year 2011.
