  • In January 2024, the Assam government has started the 'Gunotsav' program.

  • Under this, the educational activities of 40 lakh children of the state will be assessed.
  • Gunotsav is a program launched by the Government of Assam with the aim of involving all the primary and secondary schools in the state.
  • 'Gunotsav' aims to increase accountability and improve the quality of education by actively involving teachers, students, administrators, and local communities.
  • This program has 4 dimensions – children's learning outcomes, co-scholastic, infrastructure, and community participation.
