  • भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक ने पूर्व डिप्टी गवर्नर, बी.पी. कानूनगो की अध्यक्षता में छह सदस्यीय समिति का गठन किया है, जो इसके द्वारा विनियमित संस्थाओं में ग्राहक सेवा मानकों की समीक्षा करेगी।
  • यह समिति बैंकों, गैर-बैंकिंग वित्तीय कंपनियों (एनबीएफसी) और भुगतान ऑपरेटरों में ग्राहक सेवा की स्थिति की जांच करेगी और ग्राहक सेवा में सुधार के उपाय सुझाएगी।
  • इस पैनल को अपनी पहली बैठक के तीन महीने के भीतर अपनी रिपोर्ट देनी होगी।
  • आरबीआई के पूर्व डिप्टी गवर्नर बीपी कानूनगो की अध्यक्षता में, छह सदस्यीय पैनल में आईबीए के अध्यक्ष ए के गोयल और पीएनबी के एमडी और सीईओ शामिल हैं; आईडीआरबीटी के पूर्व निदेशक डॉ ए एस रामाशास्त्री; डॉ अमिता सहगल, सचिव, अखिल भारतीय बैंक जमाकर्ता संघ (AIBDA); डॉ राजश्री एन वरहादी, प्रोफेसर, कानून विभाग, मुंबई विश्वविद्यालय और अनिल कुमार शर्मा।
