  • On July 28, 2024, President Droupadi Murmu appointed Governors to nine states and the Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry and accepted Banwarilal Purohit's resignation as Governor of Punjab and Administrator of Chandigarh.

  • Telangana: Jishnu Dev Varma
  • Sikkim: Om Prakash Mathur
  • Jharkhand: Santosh Kumar Gangwar
  • Chhattisgarh: Ramen Deka
  • Meghalaya: C H Vijayashankar
  • Rajasthan: Haribhau Kisanrao Bagde
  • Maharashtra: C.P. Radhakrishnan (previously Governor of Jharkhand with additional charge of Telangana)
  • Punjab and Administrator of Chandigarh: Gulab Chand Kataria (previously Governor of Assam)
  • Assam and additional charge of Manipur: Lakshman Prasad Acharya (previously Governor of Sikkim)
