Paris Olympics 2024: Hockey India announces 16-member squad, Harmanpreet named captain

Indian hockey team captain Harmanpreet Singh, Jarmanpreet Singh, Amit Rohidas and Nilakanta Sharma celebrate after winning the men's hockey final match against Japan at the 19th Asian Games to be held in Hangzhou, China in 2023.
Harmanpreet Singh has been appointed as the captain of the Indian national men's hockey team for the upcoming Paris Olympics.
Hockey India on Wednesday named a 16-member squad for next month's Paris Olympics, with Harmanpreet Singh named captain and Hardik Singh his deputy.
Five players are playing for the first time in this team and some senior players from the last Olympics are also included.
