  • Caitlin Carico and Drew Wiseman are scientists from Hungary and the United States, respectively.
  • This award is one of the most prestigious awards in the scientific world, which is selected by the Nobel Assembly of Karolinska Institutet Medical University, Sweden.
  • The Nobel Prize in Medicine carries a prize fund of 11 million Swedish crowns (about $1 million).
  • In the year 2022, Svante Pääbo of Sweden received the Nobel Prize in Medicine.
