Nahida Khan retires from international cricket

  • Pakistan batter Nahida Khan has announced her retirement from international cricket, following a 14-year career for her country.
  • Debuting in February 2009 against Sri Lanka, Nahida went on to represent Pakistan in three Cricket World Cups (2013, 2017 and 2022) and in four T20 World Cups (2012, 2014, 2016 and 2018).
  • She holds the record for most catches in an ODI innings. She took four catches in Pakistan's 94-run win over Sri Lanka in Dambulla in 2018.
  • In a career spanning 66 ODIs, Nahida accumulated 1410 runs, showcasing her ability as a reliable and consistent opening batter. In addition, she showcased her skills in the T20I format, accumulating 604 runs in 54 matches.
  • Recently, she served as the assistant coach for the Blasters, a team participating in the Pakistan Cup Women’s Cricket Tournament in Karachi.
