  • The previous year's winner at this circuit, Charles Leclerc, finished second at the Austrian Grand Prix, crossing the finish line 5.2 seconds behind Verstappen.
  • Sergio Pérez, driving for the Red Bull team, finished third, 17.2 seconds behind the race leader.
