Malta Selected to Host 2027 Commonwealth Youth Games with Expanded Sports Line-Up:

The island nation of Malta has been chosen to host the 8th edition of the Commonwealth Youth Games (CYG) in 2027. Over 1,000 athletes aged 14 to 18 from 74 Commonwealth countries and territories are expected to compete. For the first time in CYG history, Sailing and Water Polo will be included in the competition lineup, joining existing events like Athletics, Para Athletics, Swimming, Para Swimming, Netball, Squash, Triathlon, and Weightlifting. The event aims to inspire youth participation and will utilise Malta’s advanced sporting facilities.
