  • Maharashtra has become the country's first state to develop a State Wildlife Action Plan.
  • The plan proposes comprehensive wildlife protection and conservation measures. The action plan is designed to last ten years, from 2021 to 2030.
  • The plan places a special emphasis on habitat conservation in coastal, marine, and inland aquatic ecosystems, as well as the recovery of threatened species.
