‘Jal Prahar 2025’ was a biannual joint amphibious exercise conducted by the Indian Navy and Indian Army along India’s eastern seaboard. The exercise, held in two phases, aimed to enhance inter-service coordination, operational planning, and execution during amphibious operations. The first phase, the Harbor Phase at Visakhapatnam, focused on training, security briefings, and team-building activities aboard the INS Ghadiyal. The second phase, the Sea Phase at Kakinada, involved rigorous landings, Landing Craft Assault (LCA) operations, and use of BMP amphibious infantry vehicles, while testing SOPs and joint training protocols. ‘Jal Prahar 2025’ demonstrated strong Navy-Army synergy, reinforcing maritime security and operational capabilities for amphibious missions along India’s coast.
