ISRO condoles the death of Valarmathi, the famous voice behind the Chandrayaan-3 countdown

  • Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) scientist N Valarmathi died due to a cardiac arrest.
  • N Valarmathi was known for her key role in providing countdown announcements for rocket launches held in Sriharikota.
  • Valarmathi's last public announcement was during the countdown to the launch of Chandrayaan-3, a historic mission that successfully landed on the Moon.
  • Chandrayaan-3 was launched on July 14, 2023 from the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota.
  • Notably, Chandrayaan-3 marked the last countdown announcement given by N Valarmathi before his demise.
