India to host first BIMSTEC Business Summit in New Delhi from August 6-8

  • India will host the 1st BIMSTEC Business Summit on August 6, 2024, in New Delhi, organized by the Ministry of External Affairs in collaboration with the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII). 
  • The summit aims to boost regional collaboration through enhanced trade and investment among BIMSTEC member countries.
  • The event will feature participation from high-ranking officials, policymakers, and industry leaders from various BIMSTEC member states, emphasizing its role in fostering economic cooperation in the region.
  • The event will bring together over 300 key stakeholders from the Bay of Bengal region to facilitate economic cooperation and explore further avenues in focus areas such as trade facilitation, regional connectivity, energy security, inclusive growth and sustainable development.
