India's GDP growth rate increased to 6.2 percent in the third quarter of the fiscal year 25

  • India's real GDP growth rate has increased to 6.2 percent in the third quarter of the fiscal year 2024-25, up from 5.6 percent (revised estimate) in the previous quarter. 
  • This information was provided by the Ministry of Statistics on February 28, 2025. 
  • According to estimates released by the government, India's real GDP growth is expected to remain at 6.5 percent in the fiscal year 2024-25. During this period, the nominal GDP growth rate for the current fiscal year is estimated to be 9.9 percent. 
  • Additionally, the government has revised the GDP growth rate estimate for the second quarter of the fiscal year 2024-25 (July-September) to 5.6 percent, which was previously 5.4 percent.
