भारत ने अपनी चौथी परमाणु संचालित बैलिस्टिक मिसाइल पनडुब्बी, S4* को 75% स्वदेशी सामग्री के साथ लॉन्च किया और राष्ट्रीय रक्षा क्षमताओं को बढ़ाते हुए कलाम -4 बैलिस्टिक मिसाइलों से लैस किया।
सरकार ने फ्रांसीसी नौसेना समूह के साथ तीन उन्नत डीजल हमला पनडुब्बियों का निर्माण करने की योजना बनाई है, जो आईएनएस अरिहंत, अरिघट और अरिधमान जैसे मौजूदा एसएसबीएन के साथ भारत की नौसैनिक ताकत को बढ़ाते हैं।
भारत ने अपने शत्रुओं के खिलाफ अपनी परमाणु प्रतिरोधक क्षमता को मजबूत करने के लिए विशाखापट्टनम के शिप बिल्डिंग सेंटर (एसबीसी) में चुपचाप अपनी चौथी परमाणु ऊर्जा संचालित बैलिस्टिक मिसाइल (एसएसबीएन) पनडुब्बी का प्रक्षेपण किया है।
