Haridwar to close all meat shops in the city

  • In the city of Haridwar, Uttarakhand, the sale of meat has now been completely banned.
  • All meat shops operating within the municipal area will soon be shut down. 
  • The rest of Haridwar city is a dry zone where the sale of non-vegetarian food and alcohol is prohibited. 
  • There will be no meat shops throughout the city anymore. 
  • Currently, there are about 100 butcher shops operating in the Haridwar municipal area.
