  • According to the recent announcement of the Central Government, it will establish 'Women's Courts' in all the states in a phased manner under Mission Shakti.
  • This effect was announced by Union Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani.
  • In the first phase, the State of Assam and the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir have been selected by the Ministry to implement the component of Nari Adalat.
  • This court will be established in 2 districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
  • Nari Adalat will be established in 7 districts of Assam.
  • The Central Government is implementing Mission Shakti Yojana for the safety, security and empowerment of women.
  • The Government is committed to accelerating women-led development by addressing issues affecting women and making them equal partners in nation building.
