Galwan martyr Col Santosh Babu accorded Mahavir Chakra posthumously

Colonel Santosh Babu, who fought till his last breath against the Chinese soldiers in the Galwan Valley, was posthumously awarded the Maha Vir Chakra.
President Ram Nath Kovind presented this award to the mother and wife of martyr Colonel Santosh Babu.
Notably, Maha Vir Chakra is the second-highest wartime gallantry medal.
