Bengaluru to host first G20 working group meeting on environment

  • The first G20 environment meeting is scheduled to be held during February 9-11 in Bengaluru at the Taj West End.
  • India took over the G20 presidency on December 1 last year and will hold it till November 30. The forum will bring together the G20 member countries, guest countries, and several international organisations invited by India.
  • The Union Environment Ministry is scheduled to host four meetings of the Environment and Climate Sustainability Working Group (ECSWG).
  • As many as 59 participants from 25 states and a union territory participated in this conference.
