Anant Swarup Appointed New FICCI Secretary General

  • Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) appointed Anant Swarup as its new Secretary General from April 14, 2026.
  • He is a 1992-batch Indian Railway Personnel Service (IRPS) officer with over 30 years of experience in public policy, trade, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Previously served as Additional Secretary, Department of Commerce; Director General of Trade Remedies; and First Secretary at WTO, Geneva.
  • Jyoti Vij will continue as Director General for leadership continuity.
  • Appointment comes at a crucial time for India’s economic and industrial growth.
