Every year, from November 19 to November 25, World Heritage Week is observed.
The goal of World Heritage Week is to raise public awareness about the importance of cultural heritage and monument preservation.
India is home to 38 World Heritage Sites. There are 30 cultural sites, seven natural sites, and one mixed site among them. India has the world's sixth-highest number of sites.
The ASI currently protects 3,691 monuments across India, with the highest number, 745, in Uttar Pradesh.
