·         It was decided to celebrate 29 September every year as World Heart Day to raise awareness about heart disease and stroke.

·         This day is celebrated every year to make individuals aware of the prevention and control of Cardiovascular Disease (CVD).

·         The day was first observed by the World Heart Federation in collaboration with the World Health Organization on 24 September 2000. The idea of ​​celebrating this day was conceived by Antoine Bey de Luna, former President of the World Health Federation.

·         The theme of World Heart Day 2021 is 'Use Heart to Connect'. It aims to highlight the power of digital health to improve awareness, prevention, and management of CVDs globally.

v  Heart Size: Men: - 10 to 12 ounces (280 to 340 grams) and 8 to 10 ounces (230 to 280 grams) in women
