  • In the Wave Extended Reality Creator Hackathon, a total of five teams were declared winners, comprising students, professionals, and entrepreneurs.
  • This hackathon was a part of the Create in India Challenge Season-1, launched as a segment of the World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES), organized by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in collaboration with Wavelabs.
  • The objective of the hackathon was to boost India’s presence in immersive technology across five thematic categories.
  • Over 2,200 participants from across the country registered for the event, which covered sectors like healthcare, education, tourism, digital media, and e-commerce.
