Inter-Operable Criminal Justice System Report released in January 2024.
According to this report, Uttar Pradesh ranks first in the implementation of inter-operable criminal justice system.
Uttar Pradesh has been at the top position in the implementation of Inter-Operable Criminal Justice System for the third consecutive year.
Inter-Operable Criminal Justice System is designed for seamless transfer of data and information between various pillars of the criminal justice system, such as – courts, police, prisons and forensic science laboratories.
This system has been created on the instructions of the Supreme Court.
It is implemented by the Union Home Ministry.
The metadata of FIRs and charge sheets can be accessed by all High Courts and Subordinate Courts of States under the Inter-Operable Criminal Justice System Platform.
