  • Uttar Pradesh has been at the top position in the implementation of Inter-Operable Criminal Justice System for the third consecutive year.
  • Inter-Operable Criminal Justice System is designed for seamless transfer of data and information between various pillars of the criminal justice system, such as – courts, police, prisons and forensic science laboratories.
  • This system has been created on the instructions of the Supreme Court.
  • It is implemented by the Union Home Ministry.
  • The metadata of FIRs and charge sheets can be accessed by all High Courts and Subordinate Courts of States under the Inter-Operable Criminal Justice System Platform.
