  • The Union Minister of Home Affairs and Cooperation Shri Amit Shah chaired a meeting to review the functioning of the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D) in New Delhi.
  • The Home Minister observed the achievements, ongoing works and future roadmap of the six divisions of BPR&D as well as the Regional Offices (CAPT Bhopal and CDTI). He also made a special review of the efforts and initiatives taken by BPR&D towards the implementation of the new criminal laws.
  • The Home Minister stressed the need for BPR&D to enhance collaboration with international institutions to meet the needs of policing and improve the image of police forces under the 'Make in India' model.
