The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has signed a five-year umbrella agreement with the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) to conduct joint research and development aimed at strengthening the security, accuracy, and resilience of Aadhaar operations. The collaboration will address key areas such as fraud detection, biometric liveness verification, high-risk enrolment identification, and improvements in matching algorithms, with other focus areas to be jointly decided.
