The ban on the TikTok app in the US has come into effect from 19 January 2025. The ban came into effect a day before Donald Trump's inauguration.
The US Supreme Court ruled in favor of the law banning TikTok on 17 January 2025.
On 19 January 2025, US President-elect Donald Trump announced on Truth Social that he plans to issue an executive order on 20 January 2025 to postpone the TikTok ban for 90 days.
