The Telangana government has announced the Indiramma Family Life Insurance Scheme in its 2026–27 Budget. The scheme will provide ₹5 lakh life insurance coverage to 1.15 crore families from June 2, 2026. It is a universal scheme covering all income groups, ensuring financial security in case of the death of an earning member.
The initiative aims to prevent families from falling into poverty due to sudden loss. It reflects the government’s welfare-driven approach and commitment to building a strong social safety net for all households.
