  • Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy launched the Rajiv Gandhi Civils Abhayahastam scheme on July 20, 2024, offering Rs 1 lakh to UPSC Prelims qualifiers.
  • The scheme, funded by Singareni Collieries under its Nirmaan programme, aims to support UPSC Mains preparation for eligible candidates from General (EWS), BC, SC, and ST categories with a family income below Rs 8 lakh.
  • Applicants must be permanent residents of Telangana, have cleared the UPSC Prelims, and cannot be employed in permanent central, state, or government positions.
