Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy launched the Rajiv Gandhi Civils Abhayahastam scheme on July 20, 2024, offering Rs 1 lakh to UPSC Prelims qualifiers.
The scheme, funded by Singareni Collieries under its Nirmaan programme, aims to support UPSC Mains preparation for eligible candidates from General (EWS), BC, SC, and ST categories with a family income below Rs 8 lakh.
Applicants must be permanent residents of Telangana, have cleared the UPSC Prelims, and cannot be employed in permanent central, state, or government positions.
