  • Tata Power has re-appointment Dr. Praveer Sinha as CEO & Managing Director of the company for a period of four years.
  • The re-appointment will take effect from May 1, 2023 to April 30, 2027 (i.e. date of superannuation from the Company). 
  • Mr. Sinha is currently the CEO & Managing Director of Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (Tata Power-DDL). 
  • Tata Power-DDL is a Public Private Partnership (Joint Venture) between Tata Power and Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, supplying power to over seven million people in North and North-West Delhi.
  • His present tenure as a CEO & Managing Director has concluded on April 30, 2023.
  • Sinha is a qualified Electrical Engineer and has also done his Master’s in Business Law. 
  • He received his Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and is a visiting Research Associate at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Boston, USA.
  • Tata Power is India’s largest integrated power company with a growing international presence.
