  • The Tata Group has replaced Vivo as the title sponsor for the Indian Premier League 2022 and 2023 editions.
  • The Tatas will be paying around Rs 670 crore for two years of title sponsorship while Vivo will pay a total of Rs 454 crore for termination of contract.
  • Vivo had bought the IPL title sponsor rights for Rs 2,190 crore for 5 years from 2018 to 2022. In 2020, dream11 was made the title sponsor of the IPL instead of Vivo after the dispute between India and China escalated. After this, the sponsorship rights of this league again went to Vivo in 2021.
