Country's largest lender State Bank of India (SBI) appointed Kameswar Rao Kodavanti as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Kameswar Rao Kodavanti officially assumed the position of CFO on July 1, 2023.
Kodwanti's appointment follows the resignation of Charanjit Surinder Singh Attra.
As CFO, Kodwanti will play a key role in overseeing the financial operations of State Bank of India and ensuring regulatory compliance.
State Bank of India is one of the largest and oldest banks in India.
It was established in 1806 as the Bank of Calcutta and later renamed as the Imperial Bank of India.
In 1955, the Government of India nationalised the bank and it became the State Bank of India.
