  • Kameswar Rao Kodavanti officially assumed the position of CFO on July 1, 2023.
  • Kodwanti's appointment follows the resignation of Charanjit Surinder Singh Attra.
  • As CFO, Kodwanti will play a key role in overseeing the financial operations of State Bank of India and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • State Bank of India is one of the largest and oldest banks in India.
  • It was established in 1806 as the Bank of Calcutta and later renamed as the Imperial Bank of India.
  • In 1955, the Government of India nationalised the bank and it became the State Bank of India.
