  • Shri Pawan Kumar, a 1992-batch officer of the Indian Cost Accounts Service, appointed as Chief Adviser (Cost) in the Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance.
  • He assumed charge on February 1, 2024, at Level-17 (Apex level) following approval from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC).
  • Previously held the position of Additional Chief Adviser (Cost).
  • Kumar has extensive experience in various ministries and autonomous bodies, including the Tariff Commission, Delhi Development Authority, and Department of Economic Affairs.
  • Instrumental in developing a web-based Online Dashboard for CPSEs' performance evaluation, winning the 'Gold Award' in the 'e-Governance' category in 2022.
