Shri Pawan Kumar, a 1992-batch officer of the Indian Cost Accounts Service, appointed as Chief Adviser (Cost) in the Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance.
He assumed charge on February 1, 2024, at Level-17 (Apex level) following approval from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC).
Previously held the position of Additional Chief Adviser (Cost).
Kumar has extensive experience in various ministries and autonomous bodies, including the Tariff Commission, Delhi Development Authority, and Department of Economic Affairs.
Instrumental in developing a web-based Online Dashboard for CPSEs' performance evaluation, winning the 'Gold Award' in the 'e-Governance' category in 2022.
