The Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES) organised the General Assembly in New Delhi with the first 'Blue Discussions' on the sea.
The General Assembly was made co-convenor of the Ambassador of France to India and the Ambassador of Costa Rica.
The main objective of the meeting was to have high-level discussions on ocean health and governance issues.
The meeting was jointly chaired by the United War Union of India, French Ambassador Thierry Mathu, and the Chargé d'Affaire of Costa Rica, Sofia Salas Monge.
More than 50 participants including teachers, research institutions and government organizations were present in the event.
