Samir Kumar Sinha, a 1994-batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the Additional Secretary and Director General (Acquisition) in the Defence Ministry.
The appointment is part of a broader bureaucratic reshuffle approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.
Sinha, who belongs to the 1994 batch of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), is currently serving in his Assam-Meghalaya cadre.
