External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar inaugurated the SAMHiTA Conference on South Asia’s Manuscript Traditions & Mathematical Contributions in New Delhi. The three-day event aims to create a comprehensive relational database and digital archive of Indian and South Asian manuscripts preserved in global libraries, archives, and repositories, in collaboration with international institutions. The conference also featured a special exhibition showcasing India’s rich mathematical heritage and manuscript traditions, with contributions from historical scholars and their enduring relevance in the modern world.
