The government has set up Sahakar Sarathi, a Shared Service Entity (SSE), to modernise Rural Cooperative Banks (RCBs) by enabling advanced digital banking services. Established on 21 July 2025 after RBI approval, it has an authorised capital of ₹1,000 crore, shared equally by NABARD, NCDC and RCBs. Sahakar Sarathi will provide core banking solutions, digital payments, cybersecurity support and training, improving efficiency, customer access and technology adoption in rural banking.
