  • IPL 2023 stars Rinku Singh, Jitesh Sharma and Prabhsimran Singh were rewarded a place in the squad for BCCI’s first foray into the quadrennial event.
  • Shikhar Dhawan meanwhile was snubbed for the tournament. The competition will take place from 28th September to 8th October in a T20 format.
  • However, veteran players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, Mohammed Shami, KL Rahul, and Jasprit Bumrah will miss the Asian Games. This due to the Asian Games 2023 clashing with the IND vs AUS ODI series and the World Cup 2023.
