  • In tennis, India’s Rohan Bopanna and his Dutch partner Matwe Middelkoop clinched the ATP 250 Tel Aviv Watergen Open men’s doubles title.
  • The top seeded Indo-Dutch pair notched up a 6-2, 6-4 victory over the third seeded Mexican-Argentine pair of Santiago Gonzalez and Andres Molteni in the final.
  • This was Bopanna’s third ATP Tour title of the season and 22nd overall. Earlier this year, he lifted two trophies with countryman Ramkumar Ramanathan.
  • Middelkoop is now a 13-time tour-level titlist. This was his second victory of 2022 after triumphing on home soil in Rotterdam with Robin Haase in February.
