  • The world's largest nuclear plant is scheduled to start operation in Japan in December 2023.
  • The plant has been established in Naka, north of Tokyo.
  • This is a nuclear fusion reactor.
  • This is an experimental reactor.
  • Its objective is to meet all the energy needs of humans in the future.
  • This nuclear reactor has been named JT-60SA.
  • It is designed to generate energy on a large scale, safely and carbon-free.
  • This is currently an experiment, which can later be established on a larger scale as per the needs of the people or the country.
  • This reactor is six storeys high.
  • It mainly consists of a donut shaped vessel which is called Tokamak.
  • The plasma is rotated rapidly inside it.
  • The temperature of this plasma reaches 20 million degrees Celsius.
  • This plant has been jointly constructed by the European Union and Japan.
