Recently 'Nayi Chetna - 2.0' campaign has been launched by the Union Ministry of Rural Development.
This campaign will be celebrated in all the states and union territories.
This campaign will be celebrated till 23 December.
Its objective is to promote awareness against gender-based violence.
The campaign activities will raise awareness on gender-based violence among SHG members and encourage GBV reporting.
This campaign has been started from New Delhi.
Data from the National Family Health Survey – 5 shows that more than 77% women still do not report or talk about their experience of violence.
Nayi Chetna Abhiyaan aims to advance the rights of women and gender-diverse individuals, promote a life free from fear and gender-based discrimination and violence.
The campaign activities will make the SHG members vocal about gender based violence.
