In January 2024, the Union Cabinet has approved the agreement between ISRO and Mauritius.
The Indian Space Research Organization had signed this agreement with the Mauritius Research and Innovation Council.
This agreement was made on November 1, 2023.
Under this agreement, ISRO will help Mauritius in the development of small satellites.
Apart from this, ISRO will get a base station in Port Louis, Mauritius to monitor its satellites.
Under this agreement, all the expenses of satellite launch will be borne by the Government of India.
Under the agreement, ISRO and Mauritius Research and Innovation Council will develop small satellites in the next 15 months.
